The Ripple of Time | Victoria Park | 23/ 6- 26/ 7/ 2021
With their rippling water mirroring never-ending scenery, ponds are an essential element in Chinese landscape design.
Created by local event and visual design agency Double V, The Ripple of Time re-enacts the history and development of Wan Chai’s coastline. Over 2,000 coloured panels, pieced together to form Hong Kong’s world-famous skyline, tap against each other as the pool water undulates, echoing with our rapid pace of life. It tells the contemporary stories of the Pearl of the Orient with design and technology – with the accompanying mobile app, you can make a wish and listen to the human stories collected from Wan Chai.
